“First Friday Art Walks” from 10:00 am until 8:00
pm.
Uptown Market invites you to visit us during the
First Friday Art Walk. Eleven galleries in the Historical Shopping District will be open
all day until 8:00 to celebrate the arts in Fredericksburg.
Uptown is featuring some fine new works of art and bringing you two new
artists. There will be demonstrations throughout the day. Come by, have
some wine and enjoy the fine art at Uptown.

Petronella Greer 11:00 –
Petronella calls herself a “natural artist” that can see beyond the human scope.
She will be demonstrating her talent at creating custom designed, one of a kind pieces of
exquisite jewelry.
Lynn Spiere 3:00
Lynn is an award winning textile artist. She dies and spins her own wool and
weaves it into masterpieces. Lynn will be demonstrating her spinning and weaving.
Bunny Oliver – 6:00
Bunny, also an award winning Texas artist has an amazing fresh eye for color
and is constantly creating new and exciting paintings. She will be at Uptown with
brush in hand, demonstrating her impressionist techniques in acrylics.
View newly acquired works in oil by W.A. Slaughter, W.R. Trasher, and A.D. Greer. Also, don’t miss the
new oils by Fredericksburg artist Mary
Lindsey, hill country artist Lilli Peel and other notable
artists.

Shopping Tournament benefiting the Fredericksburg Boys and Girls Club. Get up a

October 3 – First Friday Art
Walk – featuring works in oil by Mary
Lindsey and Lilli PellU – 10:00 – 8:00
Art on exhibit all day, with a reception from 5:00 until 8:00
honoring our featured artists: Mary Lindsey and Lilli Pell
In addition, enjoy music, wine, food and good conversation!
Enjoy the exciting display of work by local artist Mary Lindsey.
Mary works in oils and does both still life and landscapes. She has developed
her own combination of the principals of design, traditional oil painting and a personal
way of looking at the world around her.
We are also showcasing the fine works of regional artist Lilli Pell.
The landscapes of Texas are her primary subject, along with domestic animals and still
life. Lilli likes the technique called encaustic, which gives her work texture
and richness of color.

Art Walk – featuring demonstrations in both watercolors and miniatures by Bobbie Marsh, along with other fine
artists and their works.
November 7-8 – Art Past Dark
– the art community of Fredericksburg will be holding many art events this
